Where in the World have I been?

Okay, let’s just start with the big question: where have I been? This past year has been a whirlwind of chasing toddlers full-time, navigating a few unexpected life changes, rediscovering my creative spark, and learning some tough lessons in balancing life as a wife, mom, and friend—all while clinging to the hope that joy comes in the morning. Honestly, it’s not been easy. Even in the thick of it, I knew the joy would come, but man, it was hard to live in that truth.

I started writing during a time when I had some down-time—newborn in my arms and a toddler who still took pretty regular naps. I was physically wiped out, but I had the space to write. Now that both kids are walking, running, dancing, and roaring (seriously, all the time!), I’m spending my days embracing this crazy season—sticky hands, messy floors, daily meltdowns (kids and me), funny stories, killer dance moves, and belly laughs that make it all worth it. Family life has been messy and beautiful, to be honest.

I haven’t stopped writing though. The things I’m planning to share in the coming weeks carry much weight and a desire to be honest and honorable about a hard season. While I do have some lighter stories to share, it’s hard for me to talk about the fun stuff without also addressing the tough moments, but they’ll come in time.

Thanks for making it this far with me!

“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
– Psalm 30:5

Stay tuned for upcoming posts! I’m excited to share more of the journey, the laughter, the lessons, and all the ways I’m learning to embrace this season—because let’s face it, there’s never a dull moment around here.
